[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 812, June 22, 1952 ]

AN ACT AMENDING SECTION THREE OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED TWO BY PROVIDING THAT SAID LAW SHALL NOT APPLY TO HOMEWORKERS ENGAGED IN NEEDLEWORK BY HAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: SECTION 1. Subsections (d) and (h) of section three of Republic Act Numbered Six hundred two are amended to read as follows:"*    *    *    *    *    *    *"(d) This Act shall not apply to homeworkers engaged in needlework by hand, farm tenancy or to domestic servants. "*    *    *    *    *    *    *"(h) With respect to piece-work or contract work other than needlework by hand done by homeworkers, on petition of an interested party, the Secretary of Labor shall use all available devices of investigation to determine whether the work is being compensated in compliance with this Act, and shall issue findings and orders in connection therewith." SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect as of April six, nineteen hundred and fifty-one. Enacted without Executive approval, June 22, 1952.
