[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7912, February 23, 1995 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CAUAYAN RURAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAUAYAN, PROVINCE OF ISABELA, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE CAUAYAN POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. The Cauayan Rural High School in the of Cauayan, Province of Isabela, is hereby converted into a college to be known as the Cauayan Polytechnic College.SEC. 2. In addition to its present curricular offering, the Cauayan Polytechnic College shall offer undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of education, agriculture, forestry, engineering, arts and sciences, and non-degree technical-industrial courses and other degree courses as may be necessary, subject to the policies and standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).SEC. 3. The College shall be headed by a vocational college superintendent and shall be under the administration and supervision of the CHED.SEC. 4. The chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education is hereby directed to take the necessary steps for the conversion and operation of the College and for the effective implementation of this Act.SEC. 5. All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Cauayan Rural High School are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Cauayan Polytechnic College.SEC. 6. All laws, decrees, orders, rules and regulations, and other issuances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.SEC. 7. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette.Approved,

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 16, 1995 and February 15, 1995, respectively.
