REPUBLIC ACT NO. 575

AN ACT APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED FIFTY TO JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated, during the period from July first, nineteen hundred fifty to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred fifty-one, for the purposes specified hereunder:

      PROVIDED, FURTHER, That, any 

 

 

      provision of existing law to the contrary 

 

 

      notwithstanding, only the examination 

 

 

      and registration fees collected by said 

 

 

      boards shall be available for the payment 

 

 

      of fees to the members thereof: PROVIDED, 

 

 

      FURTHERMORE, That in case of deficit in 

 

 

      this and other items under this section the 

 

 

      same may be covered by paying the 

 

 

      chairmen, members, personnel and other 

 

 

      necessary expenses of the boards from 

 

 

      the unexpended balance of examination 

 

 

      and registration fees collected by the

SPECIAL PROVISIONS 

 

 

  (q) The supplemental salaries provided for 

 

 

    the positions in the Philippine Purchasing 

 

 

    Agency in New York shall not be paid to 

 

 

    the incumbents thereof whenever they are 

 

 

    in the Philippines.

 

 

  (r) The provisions of section 5(5) of Republic 

 

 

    Act No. 563 and of all the other pertinent 

 

 

    sections of the said Act shall be applicable 

 

 

    to the appropriations of the New York 

 

 

    Philippine Purchasing Agency as herein

General Provisions

SECTION 2. The special and general provisions of the General Appropriation Act for the fiscal year 1951 (Republic Act No. 563) not in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby made applicable to the appropriations provided in this Act.

SECTION 3. No item in this Act shall be transferred to any other item.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect as of July first, Nineteen Hundred Fifty.
