[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5534, June 21, 1969 ]
AN ACT RAISING THE RANKS OF THE DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF THE BUREAU OF COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION TWO OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED TWO THOUSAND FIFTY-SEVEN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section two of Republic Act Numbered Two thousand fifty-seven is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b). The Director of the Coast and Geodetic Survey shall have at least the rank of Commodore. The Assistant Director shall have the rank of Captain. Both shall be appointed by the President, with the consent of the Commission on Appointments of the Congress, from the list of commissioned officers of the Coast and Geodetic Survey not below the rank of Commander and Lieutenant Commander, respectively."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 21, 1969.
