[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5251, June 15, 1968 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PEARL CULTURE FARM AND DEMONSTRATION STATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAIBIRAN, SUBPROVINCE OF BILIRAN, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, AND AUTHOR­IZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. There shall be established and maintained, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Fisheries, a pearl culture farm and demonstration station in the Municipality of Caibiran, Subprovince of Biliran, Province of Leyte.SEC. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said farm and demonstration station during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-nine. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.  Enacted without Executive approval, June  15, 1968.
