[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 49, October 03, 1946 ]
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION FOURTEEN HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN OF THE REVISED ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AS AMENDED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. Section fourteen hundred and fourteen of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 1414. Fixed Fees.—For acts done, services rendered, and documents issued by the Bureau of Customs, the following fixed fees shall be charged and collected, by requiring the affixture of documentary customs stamps in the proper amount to the instrument which is the subject of the charge or other paper indicated as the proper recipient of the stamp and by the cancellation of such stamps in a manner to be prescribed by the Insular Collector; and no instrument or paper subject to such charge shall be issued or granted by any customs official until the proper stamp or stamps have been affixed and cancelled; Provided, however, that fees of twenty pesos or over may be paid in cash:
"(a) For each certificate of Philippine register or ownership: "1. In case of a vessel of not more than fifteen tons gross
P15.00 "2. In case of a vessel of more than fifteen but not more than fifty tons gross 20.00 "3. In case of a vessel of more than fifty but not more than one hundred tons gross 30.00 "4. In case of a vessel of more than one hundred but not more than two hundred and fifty tons gross 50.00 "5. In case of a vessel of more than two hundred and fifty but not more than five hundred tons gross 75.00 "6. In case of a vessel of more than five hundred but not more than seven hundred and fifty tons gross 100.00 "7. In case of a vessel of more than seven hundred and fifty but not more than one thousand tons gross
150.00 "8. In case of a vessel of more than one thousand but not more than one thousand five hundred tons gross 200.00 "9. In case of a vessel of more than one thousand five hundred but not more than three thousand tons gross 250.00 "10. In case of a vessel of more than three thousand but not more than five thousand tons gross 350.00 "11. In case of a vessel of more than five thousand tons gross 500.00 "(b) For each entrance from a foreign port 20.00 "(c) For each clearance to a foreign port 20.00 "(d) For each coastwise entrance or clearance (to be charged at ports of entry only): "1. In case of a vessel from six to fifteen tons net
50 "2. In case of a vessel of more than fifteen but not more than seventy-five tons net 1.00 "3. In case of a vessel of more than seventy-five but not more than one hundred and fifty tons net 2.00 "4. In case of a vessel of more than one hundred and fifty but not more than two hundred tons net 3.00 "5. In case of a vessel of more than two hundred but not more than two hundred and fifty tons net 5.00 "6. In case of a vessel of more than two hundred and fifty but not more than three hundred tons net 6.00 "7. In case of a vessel of more than three hundred but not more than four hundred tons net 8.00 "8. In case of a vessel of more than four hundred tons net 10.00 "(e) For each coastwise license or renewal thereof:
"1. In case of a vessel propelled in whole or in part by steam or other mechanical motive power, per registered net ton 2.00 "2. In case of a sailing vessel or vessel not propelled by steam or other mechanical motive power, per registered net ton 1.00 "(f) For each bay and river license, or renewal thereof, per registered net ton 1.50 "(g) For each permit to transfer vessel from one class to another 10.00 "(h) For each annual certificate of inspection issued to vessels: "1. In case of a vessel of from six to one hundred tons gross 2.00 "2. In case of a vessel of more than one hundred but not more than five hundred tons gross 5.00 "3. In case of a vessel of more than five hundred tons gross 10.00 "(i) For each special permit to operate vessels:
"1. In case of a vessel of one hundred tons gross or less 5.00 "2. In case of a vessel of more than one hundred but not more than two hundred tons gross 8.00 “3. In case of a vessel of more than two hundred but not more than four hundred tons gross 16.00 "4. In case of a vessel of more than four hundred but not more than six hundred tons gross 24.00 "5. In case of a vessel of more than six hundred but not more than eight hundred tons gross 32.00 "6. In case of a vessel of more than eight hundred but not more than one thousand tons gross 40.00 "7. In case of a vessel over one thousand tons gross, for every one hundred tons gross or fraction thereof 4.00 "(j) For each bill of health accepted
2.00 "(k) For each outward foreign passenger list accepted 2.00 "(I) For each amendment allowed to a foreign inward manifest 1.00 "(m) For each permit (to others than passengers) to take cigars aboard ship, per thousand cigars 1.00 "(n) For each permit (to others than passengers) to take cigarettes aboard ship, per thousand cigarettes 50 "(o) For each original import or export entry, exceeding fifty pesos in value 2.00 "(p) For each entry for immediate transportation in bond 2.00 "(q) For each original internal revenue entry 1.00 "(r) For each original withdrawal entry from any bonded warehouse 1.00 "(s) For each bond accepted or renewed
2.00 "(t) For each approval of application in respect to a transaction covered by general bond 2.00 "(u) For each examination for, or license of a customs broker: "1. For each examination 20.00 "(v) For each protest filed, the fee to be returned if the protest is decided in whole or in part in favor of the protestant 5.00 "(w) For all certificates not hereinabove specified, exclusive of such as are made in the course of routine administration in the Bureau and which do not sub-serve any special pecuniary interest of the party concerned therein 5.00”
Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, October 3, 1946.
