[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2404, June 21, 1959 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANCHEZ MIRA, PROVINCE OF CAGAYAN, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE PURPOSE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. There shall be, under the Bureau of Medical Services, a twenty-five-bed general hospital in the Municipality of Sanchez Mira, Province of Cagayan, to be known as the Northern Cagayan Hospital. The site for the said hospital shall be provided by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Sanchez Mira, in consultation with the Director of Hospitals.SEC. 2. The Secretary of health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act.SEC. 3. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the maintenance and operation of the said hospital during the fiscal year, ending June thirty, nineteen hundred sixty: Provided, That no amount to be appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that the suitable hospital building is available. Such sum as may be necessary fro its operation and maintain in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon the date funds authorized herein to be appropriated are provided for.Enacted without executive approval, June 21, 1959.
