[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2073, June 13, 1958 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND PARAGRAPHS 73.11 AND 73.21 OF CHAPTER 73, SCHEDULE XV, OP REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED NINETEEN HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. Paragraph 73.11 of Chapter 73, Schedule XV, of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred thirty-seven is hereby amended to read as follows:

"73.11 Angles, shapes, sections and sheet piling, of iron or steel, hot-rolled, forged or cold-finished, whether or not drilled or punched, but not assembled:
  A. Angles of which the maximum cross-sectional dimension does not exceed eighty-eight millimeters and channels of which the maximum cross-section dimension does not exceed seventy-five millimeters…ad val. 25°/o
  B. Riveted, welded, punched, or drilled ad val. 80%
  C. Other ad val. 15%."

SEC. 2. Paragraph 73.21 of Chapter 73,  Schedule XV, of Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred thirty-seven, is hereby amended to read as follows:

"73.21Assembled sheet piling of cast iron, iron or steel; girders, beams, joists and pillars made from assembled elements; structures and finished parts for assembly into structures (e. g., bridge sections, roofing frameworks, shutters, pylons, balconies, balustrades, verandas, window and frames) of cast iron, iron or steel … ad val. 80%."

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 13, 1958.
