[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11323, April 17, 2019 ]

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF DON EMILIO DEL VALLE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL (DEDVMH) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF UBAY, PROVINCE OF BOHOL FROM FIFTY (50) TO THREE HUNDRED (300) BEDS, UPGRADING ITS SERVICES AND FACILITIES AND PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE, AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE OF ITS MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital (DEDVMH) in the Municipality of Ubay, Province of Bohol is hereby increased from fifty (50) to three hundred (300) beds. SEC. 2. The existing service facilities and professional health care of the DEDVMH are hereby upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the bed capacity as herein provided for.

SEC. 3. The existing workforce shall be correspondingly increased. Upon prior consultation with the DEDVMH, the Department of Health (DOH), in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission, shall determine the additional plantilla positions to be created and filled up.

SEC. 4. The increase in bed capacity of the DEDVMH from fifty (50) to three hundred (300) beds shall be implemented consistent with the hospital's five (5)-year development plan.

SEC. 5. The Secretary of the DOH shall immediately include the Department's programs upon the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 6. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

SEC. 7. All other laws, decrees, executive orders, and other administrative issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby modified, superseded or repealed accordingly.

SEC. 8. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval
