AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES ON BEHALF OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIP­PINES TO SUPPLEMENT AND AMEND THE AGREEMENT HERETOFORE EXE­CUTED BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS AND THE ATLANTIC, GULF AND PACIFIC COMPANY OF MANILA, PURSUANT TO ACT NUMBERED THREE THOUSAND AND FIFTY-SIX.

Be it enacted by the National Assembly of the Philippines:SECTION 1. The President of the Philippines is author­ized and empowered to enter on behalf of the Common­wealth of the Philippines into any agreement or agree­ments with the Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company, a cor­poration duly organized and doing business under the laws of the Philippines, as may be necessary to supplement and amend the original agreement entered into pursuant to Act Numbered Three thousand and fifty-six, in order to make the work therein contemplated conform to the changes recom­mended by the Director of Public Works and approved by the Secretary of Public Works and Communications, un­der such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon by both parties; and upon completion of the work to execute for the Government of the Commonwealth, as successor of the Government of the Philippine Islands, all documents and deeds called for by said Act Numbered Three thousand and fifty-six which under said Act would be executed by the Governor-General of the Philippine Islands.SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, June 9, 1938.
