AN ACT CONVERTING LU-UK BARANGAY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LU-UK, PROVINCE OF SULU, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS LU-UK NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled:

SECTION 1. The Lu-uk Barangay High School in the Municipality of Lu-uk, Province of Sulu, is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as Lu-uk National High School.

SEC. 2. The Ministry of Education and Culture is hereby directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of this Act.

SEC. 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded put of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide its share in the cost of operating and maintaining said school. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
