AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AN EXPENDITURE OF THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND PESOS FOR EMERGENCY INSULAR AID TO VARIOUS MUNICIPALITIES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES OUT OF THE APPROPRIATION AUTHORIZED FOR THE BUREAU OF EDUCATION BY ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-EIGHT HUNDRED AND THREE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:SECTION 1. Authority is hereby granted the Director of Education to expend, with the approval of the Secretary of Public Instruction, an amount not to exceed the sum of two hundred forty-five thousand pesos out of the appropriation authorized for the Bureau of Education by Act Numbered Thirty-eight hundred and three for emergency Insular aid to various municipalities for salaries of teachers to enable the reopening of elementary classes therein which were in operation at the close of the school year in March nineteen hundred and thirty-one, and which were not reopened on July first, nineteen hundred and thirty-one, or which, having been opened on or before such date, cannot continue on account of lack of funds.SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.Approved, August 11, 1931.
