AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWENTY-ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR OF ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN, KNOWN AS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, SO AS TO EXEMPT FROM THE PAYMENT OF TOLLS ON TOLL ROADS, BRIDGES, GATES AND FERRIES, VEHICLES ACTUALLY CARRYING GOVERNMENT MAILS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:SECTION 1. Section twenty-one hundred and thirty-four of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC 2134. Persons and conveyances exempt from tolls.-No toll or ferriage authorized by this article shall be collected from officers or enlisted men of the United States Army or Navy or other employees of the United States Government in the Philippines; neither shall tolls for the use of any road or bridge be collected from any person passing over the same on foot; nor shall tolls be collected on vehicles or persons engaged primarily in the carrying of the Government mail for the use of any toll road, bridge, ferry or gate."
SEC. 2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.Approved, November 24, 1930.
