AN ACT AMENDING SECTION FIVE OF ACT NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-EIGHT, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE PROTECTION OF ANIMAL LIFE IN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS," BY PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF SAID ACT.
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that: SECTION 1. Section five of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and ninety-eight, entitled "An Act to provide for the protection of animal life in the Philippine Islands," is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 5. Any person violating any provision of this Act or any regulation or order of the Secretary of the Interior provided for in accordance with the aforementioned section shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred pesos for each fish, bird, or mammal unlawfully killed, taken, kept, shipped, possessed, or exported, or for each nest or egg taken or destroyed in violation of the provisions of this Act,"
