AN ACT PROVIDING FOR AN ADDITIONAL LIEUTENANT-COLONEL AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CONSTABULARY IN THE TERRITORY INHABITED BY MOROS OR OTHER NON-CHRISTIAN TRIBES, AND INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION MADE BY ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHT FOR THE BUREAU OF CONSTABULARY.
By authority of theĀ United States, be it enacted by theĀ Philippine Commission, that:SECTION 1. (a) The paragraph headed "Bureau of Constabulary" of section one of Act Numbered Twenty-two hundred and eight is hereby amended to read as follows :
"BUREAU OF CONSTABULARY."For salaries and wages and duly authorized contingent expenses of the Bureau of Constabulary, including maintenance and repair of Insular buildings, for use in the Moro Province, the Mountain Province, and the Provinces of Agusan and Nueva Vizcaya, nine hundred and eighty thousand pesos."The appointment in the manner and at the salaries provided by law of one additional lieutenant-colonel and assistant director, one additional major, three additional captains, five additional first lieutenants, and five additional second lieutenants is hereby authorized."(b) The last paragraph of said section is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Total of appropriations for all purposes except for the Bureau of Forestry, one million six hundred and eighty-seven thousand five hundred pesos."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect as of January first, nine-teen hundred and thirteen.Enacted, February 17, 1913.
