AN ACT AMENDING SECTION THIRTEEN OF ACT NUMBERED EIGHTY-THREE, ENTITLED "THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT," AS AMENDED, BY AUTHORIZING PROVINCIAL BOARDS TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE FAMILIES OF UNCLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING LABORERS, OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT, WHO DIE FROM INJURIES RECEIVED IN THE CLEAR LINE OF DUTY.
By authority of the United Slates, be it enacted bu the Philippine Legislature, that:SECTION 1. The second paragraph of subsection (nn) of section thirteen of Act Numbered Eighty-three, entitled "The Provincial Government Act," as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"To provide, in its discretion, for the payment from provincial in ne o u y. funds of their regular compensation during the period of their disability, not exceeding ninety days, to unclassified employees of the provincial government, including laborers, when said employees or laborers are injured in the clear line of duty, the necessary expenses of medical attendance, transportation, and hospital fees for such injured employees or laborers, and in case of their death from said injuries, their reasonable burial expenses and a donation in money to the family of the deceased employee or laborer in a sum, not exceeding ninety days' pay, which shall be in accord with his efficiency and services to the Government."
