AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL, WHERE THE DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS IS A MEMBER OF A PROVINCIAL BOARD, TO DESIGNATE ANY TEACHER OF THE BUREAU OF EDUCATION TO ACT AS A MEMBER OF SUCH PROVINCIAL BOARD IN CASE OF A VACANCY IN THE POSITION OF DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT OR DURING THE ABSENCE OR DISABILITY OF THE DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT, AND AMENDING ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE."

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:SECTION 1. Where the division superintendent of schools is by proper authority made a member of a provincial board, the Governor-General is hereby authorized to designate, in his discretion, any teacher of the Bureau of Education to act temporarily without additional compensation as a member of such provincial hoard in case of a vacancy in the position of division superintendent or during the absence or disability of the division superintendent.SEC. 2. Section two of Act Numbered Six hundred and thirty-three, entitled "An Act consolidating the offices of provincial treasurer and provincial supervisor of the Province of Isabela," as amended by Act Numbered Eight hundred and thirty-six, is hereby amended by striking out of said section the words "and. Cagayan."SEC. 3. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.Enacted, May 19, 1905.
