PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1932
MODIFYING THE RATE OF CUSTOMS DUTIES ON CORN AND COAL AND COKE
WHEREAS, excessively high tariff rates encourage inefficient domestic production;
WHEREAS, particularly in the case of basic commodities, and adequate level of tariff protection for domestic producers should be maintained;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree:
SECTION 1. – Tariff Heading No. 10.05 of Chapter 10 and Nos. 27.01 and 27.04 of Chapter 27 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

SECTION 2. – All laws, Executive Orders, Letters of Instructions, rules and regulations inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. – This Decree shall take effect on August 15, 1984.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 11th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Four.
