PROCLAMATION NO. 829

DECLARING FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 1971, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU AND IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, DANAO, LAPU-LAPU AND TOLEDO.

In order to enable the people of Cebu to celebrate with appropriate ceremonies the anniversary of its liberation from Japanese forces in 1945, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Friday, March 26, 1971, as ”Cebu Liberation Day” and a special public holiday in the Province of Cebu and in the Cities of Cebu, Danao, Lapu-lapu and Toledo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 17th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-one.
