PROCLAMATION NO. 70

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2001, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF VALENZUELA

WHEREAS, Wednesday, July 11, 2001, marks the 132nd birth anniversary of the City’s most illustrious son, the late Dr. Pio Valenzuela;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of Valenzuela, be given full opportunity to celebrate this event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Wednesday, July 11, 2001, as a special non-working day in the City of Valenzuela.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 2nd day of July, in the year of Our Lord, two thousand and one.
