BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

PROCLAMATION NO. 542

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2, 1969, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, the second day of April is the birthday of Francisco Balagtas, Prince of Filipino Poets; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of Bulacan, his birthplace, should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Wednesday, April 2, 1969, as a special public holiday in the province of Bulacan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 28th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-nine.
