PROCLAMATION NO. 492

DECLARING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 1965, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR.

WHEREAS, the birthday anniversary of the late Elpidio Quirino, former President of the Philippines, falls on November 16, 1965; and

WHEREAS, the people of Ilocos Sur, his birthplace, should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Tuesday, November 16, 1965, as a special public holiday in the province of Ilocos Sur.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-five.
