PROCLAMATION NO. 224

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 6, 1993, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU AND THE CITIES THEREIN

WHEREAS, Friday, August 6, 1993, marks the 424th founding anniversary of the Province of Cebu;

WHEREAS, the people of the province and the cities therein should be afforded full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book 1, Chapter 7, Section 27 of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Friday, August 6, 1993, as a special day in the Province of Cebu and the Cities therein.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of August in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety three.
