BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

PROCLAMATION NO. 1764

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16, 1978, AS A SPECIAL
PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN PASAY CITY.

WHEREAS, the 31st foundation anniversary and the 400th year existence of the City of Pasay fall on Wednesday, August 16, 1978; and

WHEREAS, the people of said city should be afforded full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city’s history with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, August 16, 1978, as a special public holiday in the City of Pasay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.
