PROCLAMATION NO. 1040

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16, 1972, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN PASAY CITY

WHEREAS, Wednesday, August 16, 1972, marks the 25th charter anniversary of Pasay City; and

WHEREAS, the residents should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their City’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare August 16, 1972, as a special public holiday in Pasay City.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 26th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-two.
