ABSTRACT : Rationale: Prescribing a fixed tax rate on business would hopefully strengthen the government's system of taxation. Tax on business would be simplified because of the uniformity of the fixed tax rate of four percent (4%) of the gross sales or receipts of the preceding calendar year.
