FULL TITLE : AN ACT PROVIDING FOR SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT
SHORT TITLE : Sustainable Forest Management Act Of 2010
ABSTRACT : “Sustainable Forest Management Act of 2010.” Adopts the following strategies to fulfill the objectives relative to the conservation and management of forestlands and their resources, to wit: 1) watershed as the basic forestland management unit; 2) multi-sectoral participation; 3) community-based forest management as a principal strategy; 4) protection of forestlands and natural resources as priority concern; 5) reforestation as a priority measure; 6) security of tenure of stakeholders; and, 7) professionalism in the forest service.
