ABSTRACT : The bill seeks to immunize BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) and BOC (Bureau of Customs) officers from graft and corruption practices by declaring the positions of Revenue Officer I, II, III, IV and V and Customs Officers I and II in the BIR and the BOC, respectively, as part of the confidential staff of the appointing officials of said bureaus. As confidential appointees, they may be removed from office for lack of confidence by the appointing authority. |

Abstract
The bill seeks to immunize BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) and BOC (Bureau of Customs) officers from graft and corruption practices by declaring the positions of Revenue Officer I, II, III, IV and V and Customs Officers I and II in the BIR and the BOC, respectively, as part of the confidential staff of the appointing officials of said bureaus. As confidential appointees, they may be removed from office for lack of confidence by the appointing authority.
