ABSTRACT : Seeks to repeal Art. 247 which states that "a defense can be invoked by an accused if the killing or infliction of injuries were done out of a justified burst of passion."Intends to address issues - that honor-based violence is gender-based- violence because victims are predominantly women, and the third paragraph pertains only to daughters and not sons - which reveals discriminatory gender-based presumptions. |
