ABSTRACT : As of December 2001, there are 897,000 Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia and 128,604 in the United Arab Emirates. According to Migrante International, at present, there are 44 Filipino workers in various jails in Saudi Arabia facing the possibility of beheading unless the Philippine government intervenes. This measure seeks to provide a remedy to the plight of our migrant workers by establishing a Legal Attache Office in every Middle East country particularly in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates.

Abstract

As of December 2001, there are 897,000 Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia and 128,604 in the United Arab Emirates. According to Migrante International, at present, there are 44 Filipino workers in various jails in Saudi Arabia facing the possibility of beheading unless the Philippine government intervenes. This measure seeks to provide a remedy to the plight of our migrant workers by establishing a Legal Attache Office in every Middle East country particularly in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates.
