The measure seeks to classify "fake drugs" as dangerous drugs punishable under RA 6425 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972). It also seeks to classify its importation, sale, administration, dispensation, delivery and distribution as a heinous crime punishable by death. | |

Abstract
The proliferation and distribution of fake drugs in the market remains unabated. These bogus medicines are not only ineffective but, more importantly, these are life threatening. The measure seeks to classify "fake drugs" as dangerous drugs punishable under RA 6425 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972). It also seeks to classify its importation, sale, administration, dispensation, delivery and distribution as a heinous crime punishable by death.'
