ABSTRACT : Because of their low salary, teachers are forced to deal with loan sharks in order to tide their families over until the next pay check. Some are even obliged to take part-time jobs to provide for their family's basic needs. The bill proposes to upgrade the salary grade (SG) for Teacher I from SG 10 to SG 18 to enable them to cope with the rising cost of living. | |
