| ABSTRACT : The recent drive of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to rid major thoroughfares of street vendors and hawkers has adversely affected the livelihood and sustenance of these vendors and their families. The bill seeks to provide security and protection to vendors in their workplaces. An Inter-Agency Council on the Security and Protection of Registered Vendors shall be created to formulate and implement policies and programs for registered vendors nationwide. |
