| SHORT TITLE : Barangay Tanod Welfare Act | |
| ABSTRACT : "Barangay Tanod Welfare Act". The bill extends to barangay tanods the following benefits granted under RA 7160: a) Christmas bonus of at least P1,000; b) insurance coverage in accordance with RA 6942; c) free medical care; d) free tuition fees for legitimate children in state colleges and universities; and e) appropriate civil service on the basis of the number of years of sevice in the barangay. The above benefits shall be extended to a maximum of 20 barangay tanods in every barangay. | |

Abstract
"Barangay Tanod Welfare Act". The bill extends to barangay tanods the following benefits granted under RA 7160: a) Christmas bonus of at least P1,000; b) insurance coverage in accordance with RA 6942; c) free medical care; d) free tuition fees for legitimate children in state colleges and universities; and e) appropriate civil service on the basis of the number of years of sevice in the barangay.
