ABSTRACT : "Halal Act of 2004". The bill defines the term "Halal" as "lawful," as pertaining to food or products permitted for human consumption under the Shariah Law. It establishes the general guidelines on the preparation, handling and verification of Halal products such as food, beverage, cosmetics, garments and textile which serve as a basic requirement for certification. It also includes the accreditation of abattoirs and outlets and other service establishments. | |
