FULL TITLE : AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL CELLULAR AND WIRELESS TELEPHONE PROGRAM
SHORT TITLE : National Cellular and Wireless Act of 2004
ABSTRACT : "National Cellular and Wireless Act of 2004". The bill directs the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) to implement a five-year (5 year) National Cellular and Wireless Telephone Program using a combination of government and private investments in an environment of free competition and mandatory interconnection. It further mandates that all landline telephone programs of the government be accordingly revised and contracts under negotiation be programmed and redirected towards the enforcement of the program.
