ABSTRACT : This bill seeks to decriminalize bookie operations for jueteng operations and imposing stiffer penalties on its offenders and coddlers. (1) The penalty of prision MAYOR in is medium period or a fine from TEN thousand to FIFTY thousand pesos shall beimposed upon any person who in any manner shall directly or indirectly take part in any illegal jueteng activities; (2) The penalty of prision MAYOR in its maximum period or a fine of SIXTY thousand pesos shall be imposed upon the maintainers, OPERATORS or conductor of all gambling schemes; (3) The penalty of RECLUSION TEMPORAL in its medium period with temporary absolute disqualificatio n or a fine of SIXTY thousand pesos shall be imposed if the maintainer, conductor or banker of said gamblingg schemes is a government official; and (4) The penalty of prision MAYOR in is medium period or a fine ranging from four THOUSAND to EIGTH thousand pesos shall be imposed upon any person who shall, knowingly and without lawful purpose, possess any l | |

Abstract
