ABSTRACT : Aims to fully address the challenges and issues in improving agricultural incomes and competitiveness by upholding the objectives of R.A.No.11203 (AN ACT LIBERALIZING THE IMPORTATION, EXPORTATION AND TRADING OF RICE, LIFTING FOR THE PURPOSE THE QUANTITATIVE IMPORT RESTRICTION ON RICE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES)Seeks to provide direct financial assistance to rice farming households by allocating tariff revenues collected in excess of P10 billion in the form of a conditional cash transfer program.Mandates the provision of rice insurance to protect rice crops against insurable risks and provides farmers with additional income through temporary employment in government projects. |
