| ABSTRACT : Illegal gambling, directly or indirectly, is perceived to be the reason for rise in social ills. The penalties imposed under the present laws have become inadequate to discourage gambling. The bill seeks to increase the penalties for illegal gambling to make it more effective in stopping this social menace which has fostred wrong values and false hopes among countrymen. |

Abstract
