FULL TITLE : AN ACT TO ENHANCE NATIONAL FOOD SECURITY BY CREATING THE NATIONAL FOOD CORPORATION IN PLACE OF THE NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY, CREATING THE NATIONAL RICE BOARD, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
ABSTRACT : This bill seeks to restructure NFA to make them more responsive to its mandate and to focus on clearly defined regulatory and trading functions. To intensify government efforts in the stabilization of palay farm gate prices, the National Rice Boardis hereby created thus will help improve the productivity and income of farmers. Lastly, the approval of this bill will promote efficiency in rice trading and servicing consumer food requirements.
