ABSTRACT : The bill includes within the coverage of RA 53 (Sotto Law) journalists from broadcast stations, news agencies and internet publication. With their inclusion in the ambit of RA 53, journalists can not be compelled to reveal the source of a confidential news report or information except when a court or or committee of Congress finds that the revelation is demanded for the security of the State. | |

Abstract
The bill includes within the coverage of RA 53 (Sotto Law) journalists from broadcast stations, news agencies and internet publication. With their inclusion in the ambit of RA 53, journalists can not be compelled to reveal the source of a confidential news report or information except when a court or or committee of Congress finds that the revelation is demanded for the security of the State.
