ABSTRACT : Since its creation, the programs of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) have suffered setbacks due to lack of funds. The bill seeks to provide the SRA with adequate funding to enable it to pursue and carry out its mandate by requiring that 20% of the value-added tax collections on sugar and its by-products be channeled back to the sugar industry.
