Abstract
Rationale: Several provisions of RA No. 7653, The New Central Bank Act, have to be MODIFIED in order that the Bangko Sentral efctively discharge its supervising powers over banks and QUASI-BANKS. Also amendments to RA 7653 are needed to COMPLEMENT the provision of the REvised General Banking Act (RA 8791).
