ABSTRACT : "Anti-Smuggling Act of 2005." The bill provides systematic solutions to make the detection of smuggling easier. It seeks the creation of an Anti-Smuggling Commission with the power of subpoena decus tecum. It also increases the fines for outright smuggling from a maximum of P10,000 to a maximum of P2.0 million, and the prison term from the current 12 years to reclusion perpetua. | |
