ABSTRACT : The bill seeks to amend Section 96 (on ownerhsip, administration, enjoyment and disposition of community propery) and Section 124 (on conjugal partnership of gains) of the Family Code to grant the wife equal standing with the husband with regard to the administration and enjoyment of community property or conjugal partnership property. The passage of the bill would align the Family Code with the Constitutional guarantee of fundamental equality of men and women before the law. |
