ABSTRACT : The rural electric cooperatives (RECs) are the partners of the government in the implementation of certain social programs geared to the improvement of the quality of life for rural dwellers. However, the government does not provide the RECs with adequate funds and operating subsidies to support the cash flow requirement their programs. The bill seeks to exempt RECs from the payment of franchise, business and real property taxes to enable them to pursue their missionary of rural electrification. |

Abstract
The rural electric cooperatives (RECs) are the partners of the government in the implementation of certain social programs geared to the improvement of the quality of life for rural dwellers.
