ABSTRACT : The Administration's offer of "house arrest" to former Pres. Estrada stirred much public controversy. The Sandiganbayan, however, denied such request. The bill seeks to amend the Anti-Plunder Act by inserting a new section - Sec. 3-A. SPECIAL SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS. The proposed provision shall allow the court to, either motu propio or upon motion of the accused, in the interest of national security and public order, undertake special arrangements with the PNP, the military and other concerned agencies. |
