FULL TITLE : AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE FAIR AND EQUITABLE ALLOCATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORTS ITEMS FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING POSITIONS
ABSTRACT : Although Congress has addressed the urgency of providing for the equitable allocation of the Department of Education (DepEd) with regard to the budget for capital outlay, it failed to consider the equally important items for teaching and non-teaching positions. The bill seeks to provide a mechanism that will guide the DepEd in the hiring and deployment of new teachers and non-teaching personnel. It mandates the DepEd to promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for the equitable allocation of the items for teaching and non-teaching positions among the legislative districts.
