| ABSTRACT : This bill seeks to expand the powers, duties and functions of the punong barangay to include a) the authority to enforce all laws and regulations relating to the prevention, use and sale of illegal drugs, b) perform minor repair and maintenance of municipal and barangay roads in coordination with the mayors of their respective municipalities, and c) conduct annually a census of the population of the barangay and submit the result of the census to the national Statistics Office. | |

Abstract
This bill seeks to expand the powers, duties and functions of the punong barangay to include a) the authority to enforce all laws and regulations relating to the prevention, use and sale of illegal drugs, b) perform minor repair and maintenance of municipal and barangay roads in coordination with the mayors of their respective municipalities, and c) conduct annually a census of the population of the barangay and submit the result of the census to the national Statistics Office. '
