FULL TITLE : AN ACT INSTITUTING MEASURES TO LOWER THE COST OF MEDICINES BY RATIONALIZING THE COMPETITIVE POSITION OF LOCAL DRUG COMPANIES, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ANY VIOLATIONS THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
ABSTRACT : "Drug Price Act". This bill seeks to institute measures to lower the cost of medicines by establishing and maintaining an effective drug regulatory system responsive to the Filipino's need for quality healthcare. It allows parallel importation wherein more than one Philippine importer will be granted the right enter into a foreign Agency Agreement with a foreign supplier. If passed, it will enable Filipinos to purchase pharmaceutical products at the lowest international price available and assure them of better quality medicines that will improve their health and the quality of their lives.

Abstract

"Drug Price Act". This bill seeks to institute measures to lower the cost of medicines by establishing and maintaining an effective drug regulatory system responsive to the Filipino's need for quality healthcare.
